Immediate Access - Child Welfare Program Description

TRC was awarded the TANF/Child Welfare program from ODMHSAS in August 2007.  The TANF program provides assessments for the Oklahoma County Child Welfare System for substance abuse and case management services.  Services are provided to adults involved in child custody cases with the juvenile courts where substance abuse is involved.  Oklahoma County Child Welfare refers individuals with substance abuse on their petition or when there is suspected substance abuse in a prevention case.
Services are limited to:

  • Ten Panel UA
  • ASI Assessments with addendum
  • Mental Health/Trauma Screening

The results of the assessment package are interpreted using ASAM criteria for proper referral to six mandated agencies of referral.
TRC also provides case management as follows:

  • Strengths based case management assessment
  • Following up with mandated providers to ensure linkage
  • Making appointments

TRC utilizes an LADC or LADC under supervision and an Oklahoma State certified ODMHSAS certified Behavioral Case Manager.  Assessments are performed on-site at TRC and at the Oklahoma Juvenile Authority, if needed.  Assessment hours are generally between 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, however hours can be adjusted according to client needs.
